When the summer beach crowd departs the Côte d’Azur, the fun really hasn’t stopped. The elite come back to town for Galas and boat shows, exclusive clientele from around the world make a weekend pit-stop to buy their yacht for the following year, or, to help fund projects to save the Globe’s Ocean. If you are out of the loop on forthcoming events, we will give you an insight to what you can expect, you’ll start wondering why you haven’t got a ticket and who you can nag to get one.

Monte-Carlo Gala for the Global Ocean – Wednesday, September 26th 2018

Presided by H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, the second Monte-Carlo Gala for the Global Ocean will take place on Wednesday, September 26th 2018, on the opening day of the Monaco Yacht Show.

The first Gala took place in 2017 and had support and attendance from several highly influential celebrities including; Leonardo DiCaprio, Goldie Hawn, Andy Garcia, Adrien Brody, Eva Longoria, Madonna, Joe Pesci, Martin Scorsese, Tobey Maguire, Enric Sala, Terry Tamminen, Nelly Furtado, Robin Thicke, Lior Suchard and Olga Kurlyenko.

The Monte-Carlo Gala aims at meeting the challenge of a sustainable Ocean, for the next generations and for our Planet’s future. Oceans are the lifeblood of planet Earth and humankind. They flow over nearly three-quarters of our planet and hold 97% of the planet’s water. They produce more than half of the oxygen in the atmosphere and absorb the most carbon from it. The Gala is an extremely key event for anybody serious about having a positive impact on the world’s oceans.

Since the start of the Foundation Prince Albert II de Monaco, 51M€ has been awarded in grants, with over 420 projects having been funded so far. If you want to find out more and donate to the cause, click here.

Monaco Yacht Show  Wednesday, September 26th to Saturday 29th September 2018

The YCM Monaco Yacht Show is considered to be the flagship event in the international yachting calendar. The total number of world-class yachts this year comes to an impressive 125.

The show attracts the most influential brands from around the world to lay fair their best products in an extravagant showcase. The total number of exhibitors comes to 580, ranging from the finest superyacht builders, award-winning yacht designers, luxury suppliers and influential brokerage houses to the most sought-after tenders and water toys, prestige cars, helicopters and private jet manufacturers.

Voiles de Saint-Tropez – Saturday, 29th September to Sunday, 7th October 2018

Holding host (arguably) to the most beautiful boats ever built, the Voiles de Saint-Tropez (The Sails of Saint-Tropez) is an event not to be missed by any that hold classic sailing boats in high esteem.

It is said that over 300 sailing boats helmed by an impressive crew of 4000 will be gathered in the famous Côte d’Azur town of Saint-Tropez for a week of festivities and racing. From classics to modern, a fleet of yachts will be competing in races on the coast of the French Riviera for the coveted Rolex Trophy. The regatta will be celebrating its 20th anniversary and it has been said that a fleet of Fife yachts will be welcomed at the event to commemorate the yard’s 130th anniversary.

There will be a host of fun activities, starting with a Tahitian dance and music troupe and arrival welcome cocktails on the Monday, Jazz music around the port on Tuesday and a Bowls competition on Place des Lices on Wednesday. Download the full itinerary of events here.

World Influencer Awards Monaco – Sunday, 7th October 2018

If there’s nothing we like better in Monaco, it’s definitely a world first. Influencer marketing has fast become the hot ticket for brands that want to champion ‘friend referrals’ and create real connections with new audiences. A digital influencer is a person or brand that has an active and large following that is interested in the kind of things that the influencer is posting to their blogs and online spaces. It works well for brands of all different industries as influencers usually have a following of like-minded individuals interests ranging from motorsports to cake baking.

The World Influencer Awards in Monaco is a first of its kind and has been grown by a local resident. Brands from around the world have been looking for a way into the awards, it’s going to be big business.

Saint Paul Historic Rally – Saturday, 13th of October

Calling all motorheads! If you love the charm of an iconic French hilltop town and the smell of leather and burning rubber, you’re in luck, we have the event for you!

The First Historic Loop of Saint-Paul de Vence will gather enthusiasts of classic and sporting cars for a touristic rally, followed by an exhibition of vehicles. It is organized by the Saint-Paul Car Club, in partnership with the municipality of Saint-Paul de Vence and Rotaract.
